Personally, I’ve felt for a long time now that there really isn’t a place for people to go to learn to manage these illnesses better. You’re pretty much just always told to go to the Doctor, and that’s honestly one of the hardest parts, is just deciding that you want to seek treatment.
I want to talk about some of the challenges severely depressed people face and share what it’s like living with depression when it has to be accounted for with nearly every task of your daily life. I want to show the world what it’s like living with crippling depression, not because I’m looking for pity, but simply because I want others struggling with it to know that it’s survivable. I’d be happy if this blog could help even one person.
If you or someone you know is suffering from depression, don’t ever hesitate to reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, available 24/7 at 1-800-273-8255
